Who is Walter de Rooij?
I am a former systems administrator, former database administrator, former CEO of a personal security company, former CEO of a financial advice company who has decided to focus on the web as a means of creating income.
This blog however is not aimed to that. The main point here is to share my experiences on losing weight.
When I was younger I was very active. I used to swim, do windsurfing, martial arts, cycling and have tried lots of other sports as well.
However, when I changed career paths and went into IT I got lazy.
There was really no reason for it, it just happened. As I started exercising less and less I started eating more and more, especially junk food. This obviously caused me to gain weight rapidly.
Then one day I walked past a full size mirror and I didn’t recognise the guy I saw.
I realized that it was time for me to take action and change things again.
This had me bouncing through a couple of diets, all of which I’ll review at one point or another, before settling down on a plan that works very well for me.
Even though my main goal for this blog is not to make money I will put up sponsored links when I think they are relavant to the post I write. I’m planning to move this blog to it’s own domain but as you probably can guess, that will cost money. Hence the links.
